Children's Health System Pharmacy department is comprised of approximately 35 pharmacists and 35 support personnel. The pharmacy department has satellites in the Hematology / Oncology, Surgery, Pediatric Intensive Care, and Stem Cell Transplant areas.  The department provides clinical services to these and many other areas.  The pharmacy department also utilizes PYXIS Profile system to help with medication distribution, as well as a Baxter compounder for TPN's.

Clinical Services
The department of pharmacy provides pharmaceutical care services to inpatients, clinic patients, and the community.  Our pediatric-trained pharmacists provide therapeutic drug monitoring, therapeutic and cost effective interventions, pharmacokinetic consults, ketogenic diet consults, nutrition support, investigational drug support, and drug information services to the patients and health care professionals within the health system.  Our critical care pharmacists respond to codes and level 1 traumas, as well as any other emergencies when called upon.
